Draw mode
Sign with your own hand, download the pixels.
The drawing pad on the generator captures your real strokes — mouse, trackpad, finger or stylus — and exports them as a transparent PNG at 2× resolution, exactly like the typed styles.
Why draw instead of typing?
A typed style is a font: tidy, repeatable, and clearly not your hand. A drawn signature is your hand, with its natural speed, slant and pressure habits. That matters anywhere the image will later be compared with a live signature — exam attendance sheets, bank forms, delivery and ID checks. It is also the honest option: the picture genuinely is the mark you make.
Getting a good capture
- Use the biggest surface you have. A stylus on a tablet beats a mouse; a trackpad beats nothing. On a phone, rotate to landscape so the pad is wide.
- Sign at your normal speed. Slow, careful drawing looks shaky because you are drawing a picture of a signature instead of signing. Two or three fluent attempts always beat one laboured one.
- Match the pen width to the canvas. The default 4 px suits the standard 1200 × 400 canvas. If you shrink the canvas for an exam upload, drop the pen width too, or the strokes will look blobby at small size.
- Undo strokes, not attempts. The pad stores every stroke as a path, so a bad flourish can be removed without losing the good letters underneath.
When it looks right, use the shared export panel: set a KB cap if a form demands one, then download. Strokes are vectors in the page until export, so resizing the canvas re-renders your drawing cleanly instead of stretching pixels.
Frequently asked questions
Can I draw on my phone?
Yes — the pad uses pointer events, so touch and stylus input work. The page will not scroll while you are drawing inside the pad.
My drawn signature looks wobbly. How do I smooth it?
Sign faster and slightly larger than feels natural — small, slow movements amplify every tremor. The pad already joins your points with curves rather than straight segments, which removes the jagged mouse look.
Does the pad record pressure from my stylus?
No — stroke width is the fixed value you choose, not pressure-sensitive. That keeps signatures consistent between devices, at the cost of the thick-and-thin variation a real pen gives on paper.
